Only 3% of all foster youth will complete a college degree. Let's change that.

3 people have donated $65 towards this campaign's $250 Goal

This Giving Tuesday, I’m joining Together We Rise in their goal to raise $200,000 to support the Family Fellowship program, the largest college scholarship in the nation for youth in foster care.

As a former foster youth and Together We Rise Ambassador, it is SO important to me that all foster youth have access and support to quality educational experiences. Currently, only 3% of all foster youth will complete a college degree. Let's change that.

The vision of the Family Fellowship is to change the legacy of aged-out foster youth (which I was) by transforming the way they are supported through their college journey. Most foster youth don't have access to family resources, funds, or any therapeutic support — making education nearly impossible when survival, at its most basic, is the goal.

The Family Fellowship is built on a foundation of scholars from all across the country attending the nation’s leading colleges and universities. Students of the Family Fellowship program have a 95% graduation rate. By donating to my Giving Tuesday campaign, you are helping foster youth achieve their education goals and pave the way to a brighter future. You are also personally supporting me in my journey toward healing and giving back.

I'll kick this off with a donation — and I hope that you will follow suit. Let's change the lives of kids/teens who desperately need support. If I had not had support, I wouldn't be the Lisa you see today.
